Southeast Asia is the next frontier for emerging technology unicorns. ASEAN is the world’s 3rd largest market and 5th largest economy. We focus on seed to Series A investments and selective later stage investments in Southeast Asia.
We invest primarily in London, UK, where we have strong local connections. We invest across residential, commercial and logistics sectors, employing value-add and opportunistic strategies and private debt.

Maisy is the Managing Partner of Delight Capital and also leads the Technology Strategy. She has over 20 years of experience in the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry. She was based in London for 15 years, investing across Europe in some of the most ambitious technology startups.
Prior to founding Delight Capital, Maisy was Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Add Partners, which was a leading pan-European venture capital firm. Notable exits from the €173M Add One fund include Apertio (acquired by Nokia Siemens), PolarLake (acquired by Bloomberg), Arieso (acquired by JDSU) and Sequans (IPO on NYSE).
Before Add Partners, she was with Vertex Management as a Senior Manager & Head of the European office in London. At Vertex Management, Maisy was involved in 15 deals, including Brokat, Atlantech, InfoVista, Sequenom and enba, returning 6x on investment.
Maisy started her career as an analog IC designer at Sierra Semiconductor (San Jose, California) and TriTech Microelectronics. She subsequently started the Technical Marketing department at TriTech and was concurrently Head of New Products of the Communications Products Group. She is named as inventor/co-inventor on 6 patents.
Maisy holds a B.A.Sc (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Toronto, a MSc (Electrical Engineering) from the California Institute of Technology and MSc (Management of Technology) from the National University of Singapore.

Investment Committee – Real Estate Funds
David is a General Partner at Delight Capital and leads the Real Estate Strategy. He has over 16 years’ experience in the Real Estate / Private Equity / Venture Capital industry. David has resided in London for over 20 years.
A seasoned investment professional, David was responsible for the acquisition, management and disposal of properties for the Delight London Residential Fund (Delight Capital’s first London fund).
Prior to co-founding Delight Capital, he was an Investment Director at Add Partners. At Add Partners, David invested in Sequans Communications (IPO on NYSE), Phyworks (acquired by Maxim IntregratedProducts) and TagsysRFID.
Before Add Partners, he was with Vertex Management as an Investment Director both in the Singapore and London offices, responsible for investments in Europe. He was involved in 6 deals including Microcosm, Altamedius and Xiam and returned 4X for Microcosm within 6 months of investment.
David started his career as a digital IC designer at Sierra Semiconductor (San Jose, California) and TriTech Microelectronics. He subsequently became Director of Product Development and also held the role of Marketing Director for PC Audio. He is named as inventor/co-inventor on 8 patents.
David holds a BS (Electrical Engineering) from the National University of Singapore.

Darren is a Venture Partner at Delight Capital and is part of the Technology team. He has over 20 years’ experience in the Venture Capital industry. Darren was based in Shanghai for 15 years, investing in early stage startups in China.
Prior to joining Delight Capital, Darren was a Managing Partner at CMHJ Partners and raised CMHJ II, a US$70M venture capital fund investing in technology businesses in China.
Before CMHJ Partners, Darren was a Managing Director of Venture TDF China, one of the leading venture capital firms in China. Previously Darren held the position of Investment Director at Venture TDF Private Limited (Singapore).
Notable companies in Darren’s track record include Alibaba, Focus Media. P-Cube, DMX, Sinosun, Skynet and Weplay.
Darren started his career as a semiconductor process engineer at Chartered Semiconductor before joining TriTech Microelectronics as a digital IC designer where he subsequently became the ASIC Design Manager and managed the ASIC Group. He is an inventor on 1 patent.
Darren holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University.
Venture Partner – Technology
James is a Venture Partner at Delight Capital and is part of the Technology team. He is currently the founder and CEO of Origami that builds ventures with frontier technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Web3, Metaverse and Enterprise Software.
James is an entrepreneur and community builder who has incubated, invested and mentored various technology start-ups and he is actively involved in the tech ecosystem in Asia and the US.
He founded Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity and is co-author of “AI for Humanity: Building A Sustainable AI for the Future” (ISBN: 9781394180301), to be published by Wiley.
He also co-founded Tech4SDG Alliance for Asia and serves as Singapore secretary general and also serves as International Strategic Advisor to World AI Conference (WAIC), Founding Chairman of the Asia AI Expo, IEEE CAI (Conference on AI) 2023 Industry Chair and board member of Berkeley China Summit.
James is also adjunct professor, industry advisor (strategy and ecosystem) to AI Mega Centre and mentor-in-residence at SUTD and serves as mentor for NUS, NTU, A*STAR and Lean Launchpad program.
James has over 35 years of experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation and venture building in Asia, the US and Europe across multiple industry verticals.
James started his career as an AI scientist at the leading US MCC research lab on advanced AI Fifth Generation Computer research and was one of the pioneer senior executives at Trilogy, an AI pioneer and enterprise software startup.
He received his PhD in Management Information System specializing in AI for Organizational Governance and Policy and Business Process Automation and MA & BA in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
Venture Partner – Technology
Matthew is a Venture Partner at Delight Capital and is part of the Technology team.
Prior to joining Delight Capital, Matthew spent the last 10+ years working at Singapore’s oldest financial advisory company in various capacities and was most recently Head of Alternative Investment. He has worked on several special projects and is experienced in Alternative Investment Due Diligence and Research, Corporate Marketing and Regional Business Development. He was also on the Digital Transformation steering committee for the group between 2018 and 2023.
Matthew started his career as a Business Development Executive with a Hedge Fund Database Provider and Research House, Eurekahedge.
Matthew has been angel Investing in tech companies in his personal capacity. He holds a MSc Risk & Investment Management from the EDHEC Business School.
Venture Partner – Real Estate
James is a Venture Partner at Delight Capital and is part of the Real Estate team. He has extensive experience in private equity and venture capital investment, portfolio management, and restructuring.
He has worked for two of the largest financial institutions in Southeast Asia and has managed up to USD 500 million of institutional and family office funds. During this period, James also served as the executive and non-executive director, and corporate representative at various companies, covering both private and public companies in Asia.
Over the years, James has achieved outstanding results for key stakeholders on investment and restructuring projects involving institutional funds, corporations, and family-owned businesses focusing on the real estate, healthcare, technology, FMCG, advanced manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
He has led several IPO mandates on the SGX, HKEX and Bursa, and executed numerous exit mandates with strategic and financial investors.
James is also closely involved in advising major corporations and family offices throughout Asia on M&A, with a focus on corporate strategy and restructuring via amalgamation, disposals, and carve-outs.
More recently he was the CIO of funds focusing on private credit and private equity investments in North and Southeast Asia.
